MRA notifying me of something?
-
When I am using MRA in the car or on the bike, always with Apple CarPlay, I get a notification every 500m, half a minute, not sure what the trigger is, but I hear the notification constantly. I’m almost sure this comes from MRA since I started hearing this since I installed MRA, never heard it before.
It’s annoying not only because it interrupts music and comms, but also because the family asks if I can either switch it off or disconnect my phone from CarPlay.
I’ve been going around the app multiple times to see what is still sending notifications, but I haven’t figured it out.
Am I the only one having this problem?
MRA 4.3.4 375 with iPhone 14 Pro Max and Nissan (car) and MTC-10 (bike) head unit. -
@Ton-Machielsen did you configure the voice instructions to be a beep?

@Corjan-Meijerink I can only reply once per hour. I sent you a couple of chat messages.

@Ton-Machielsen you should be able to reply more often now.
Are you sure the notifications are from our app? If you have voice prompts turned off, there aren’t much “hidden” notifications.
You might get warnings about certain route restrictions but that would also be visually displayed so that would be logical notifications.

@Corjan-Meijerink Still trying to find that out. That's why the question. It started happening once i installed the MRA, but this may be a coincidence.

For sure check you settings for voice prompts. I had them turned on at first and it drove me crazy for all the reasons you cite. It seems now you can differentiate what gets a voice prompt and what doesn't.
To be sure, ACP/AA also do some strange things when in the navigation app. I am not a fan of the microphone using your voice to communicate. Every little noise triggers the mic to open. I'd rather it be Push to Talk.. My point isn't to solve my problem but to demonstrate that AA in my case does stuff completely unassociated with MRA/Nav.
