Strange Route Issue
-
Hello
I've just opened a route I created some months ago and have found an error between waypoins 15, 16, 17 (see screen shot)
Rout Planner will not rout between 15 and 16 without going round an unnecessary loop and routing back and forth between waypoints. I have tried removing, moving waypoints and adding waypoints, but can not get navigation on the short section of road between points 15 and 16. It is not a one way road and I rode down it the other day.
Any help much appreciated.
Thank you -
@Angelo-Greco With the Traffic overlay on, I can see that the HERE map thinks that Foxby Hill is closed and there are roadworks on the roundabout that could effect your route. Google Maps also show Foxby Hill as closed. If you use this route, make a note to carry on after route point 15. You could report this to HERE maps, but I doubt that it would be addressed until the authorities inform HERE that the closure has ended. Report HERE map problem

Thanks for your reply.
My rout shouldn't be on Foxby Hill, I want to continue on Lea Road from point 15 to 16
You may be able to explain what's happening. I set up the rout with (many) waypoints to try and guarantee which roads are taken. Having opened the rout in Web Routplanner I've got the loop and gap on Lea Road. Does Routplanner activly check road closures and alter a predefined rout? -

Does Routplanner activly check road closures and alter a predefined rout?I know your route doesn't use Foxby Hill, I was pointing out that this road is closed (a black line on both sides with the Traffic overlay map on) and the HERE map has extended a black line onto the roundabout. It is the black line on the roundabout that is causing the problem.
Yes, the route planner is dynamic and will react to road closures, traffic information.

This is how the HERE route planner HEREWeGo shows this roundabout:

Google Satellite image from 13/05/2024 shows the construction of the roundabout.

@Nick-Carthew-RouteXpert-Senior
Thanks again, I wasn't aware of the dynamic planning or of the Traffic overlay.
The road works are virtually finished now (I drove there yesterday), just some temporary lane closures. If I see a similar routing issue in future I'll check the Traffic overlay!
Thanks.

@Angelo-Greco I have kind of the same. I can't get the route to go over the ferry between point 71 and 72.
I made the route by using the scenic route tool, to create a route, afterwards I made some changes.
Originally the route went over the ferry, but as I adjusted it (edit route, and ad waypoints) there's no way to get it over the ferry. -
@Eric-de-Swart see my answer in your other topic

@Eric-de-Swart I just learned: if you choose MOTOR modus change it to AUTO modus. Than ferries will accepted (but strange indeed.)
