Need to Log In when offline
-
I have had two occasions recently when I was asked to log in to access my account / routes and because I was in an area with no service I could not do so and therefore could not access my downloaded routes.
I had to ride to an area with service and then log in to use my routes.
The ability to download and use routes offline is really one of the best parts of this app for me. Is it possible in a way I am not aware of to access downloaded routes from the app without logging in? Could this be something that is added to a future update?

@Kevin-Buckley good idea! I'll add it to our list

@Kevin-Buckley, that's strange... I have never been asked to login when there was no internet connection available. Having no internet service does not log you off. As far as the downloaded routes, you don't need internet service to access those. You are probably looking at the wrong place. They reside in your profile (Hamburger-menu / profile icon at the top right / downloads). Something that will hopefully change some day

@Con-Hennekens you are correct, the app won't log you off when there is no internet. But if there's very bad internet (or the connection gets interrupted) you might be - something we will look into.
@Kevin-Buckley Is looking in the correct place. If by chance you were logged out, the window behind the profile icon becomes blocked by the login screen

@Corjan-Meijerink I have had mulitple instances where I have had to log in, EACH and EVERY time I open the app. It sometimes happens from the time it takes to plan a short route in my home, close the app for 5 - 10 min while getting ready to go, walk out to my bike, open the app - only to have to login again.

@Corjan-Meijerink yes, this is the situation I think. I was riding on small roads that come in and out of service and stopped at an area without service.
I had pre-downloaded all of my routes because I knew service would be unreliable and planned to open a new route at that spot and when I went to open the route I could not access without logging in and could not log in without service.
I do want to add that I appreciate the effort that has gone into the app overall and especially taking the suggestions of the beta testers so seriously. I am
Enjoying the opportunity to be part of the process and have been promoting the app to all my riding friends. -
@Kevin-Buckley great to hear that! We’ll work on this too

@Corjan-Meijerink Same Experience during 1 week stay in the Morvan … after crash unable to restart (to see) all my routes if there was NO network available….
