MyRoute-app crashed
-
Al zeer lange tijd wordt ik geconfronteerd dat de app op mijn iPhone crashed ondanks deze niet actief gebruikt wordt. De app is up to date!

@Peter-Schiefer Do you use CarPlay at all? Even without viewing MRA in CarPlay, it is still being loaded.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink I was curious if that was the case. Not sure how that results in the App Crash message that comes up Every.Single.Time.
No other nav app (Google, Apple, etc) has ever done that, so it would seem logical that it is something in the code?

@GT-JWR oh yes, that will he the case

@Corjan-Meijerink As soon as I connect my iPhone to my car radio, Apple CarPlay is enabled. However, even though navigation hasn't started yet, i'm receiving crash messages on my iPhone screen.
I believe it has something to do with other navigation apps running. Most of the time, this message appears when I disconnect my iPhone from my car radio. -
I'm experiencing similar issues and honestly I'm not sure I'm going to be able to reliably use MRA on my upcoming 3000mile trip on the bike.
Even when I've not been using MRA but I've been using Waze or Google Maps I'll sometimes unlock my phone (iPhone 15 Pro Max) and it'll have the "MyRoute-app crashed" message on the screen but recently I've been trying to use it on the bike as I now have a CarPlay screen on it.
Everytime I open up MRA on the CarPlay screen after having loaded up a route on my phone and hit Start the CarPlay shows me no map, I see directions but they don't change no matter how far I ride but I don't get the map at all. I have to stop, open my phone, force quit the app, reload it and then load the route and it then works, until next time I stop for a break and set off again.
Even if I use the "Last route" option in CarPlay it doesn't work. Sometimes I just get a black screen with "Error" on it. Having to keep stopping, force quitting and reopening the app is not viable.
I've tried removing and reinstalling the app but to no avail and it also does the same on the CarPlay in my car and also my wifes car. Tried it on a spare iPhone 11 Pro Max I've got and I get the same issues.

@Rob-Verhoeff Ik heb het gisteren ook nog gehad. Zal hem eens verwijderen en terug opzetten.

Today we took a ride from Rhenen to Seesen (Harz). It is very annoying that the app crashes every time the Apple Carplay is activated on the motorcycle. It does not matter whether the iPhone is connected to the Apple Carplay directly or via a Bluetooth connection. So after every stop where the engine was turned off there was this crash.
The crash reports were forwarded as much as possible.
Otherwise the program was doing fine until I deleted a waypoint near the end. Then the route went directly to the end point and not to the next way point. Possibly something wrong was done during deletion? -
I’m still getting this constantly. I’ve just driven 150 miles using CarPlay and stopped for a break and on opening my phone I’ve had 3 crash messages for MRA even though I’ve not been using it at all…… also the map problem not loading happened when I just tried to open it on CarPlay. I’m going on a 3000mile trip in 3 weeks and if this isn’t fixed soon I’m going to have to consider cancelling my subscription and using something else like Calimoto which would be a shame. This problem has been going on too long and should really have been fixed by now.

@Paul-41 this known issue happens each.and.every.time...very annoying, especially if the app is not even being used! Unfortunately, I have stopped even reporting that issue when it happens, and unfortunatley, also stopped using the app because of this issue, and perhaps even more of an issue, which is well known and being worked on (with not much apparent success) is the battery drain issue. Love the web planner though!!

This happens to me everytime I close the app on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
When this happens, the screen om MyRoute shows the route/track, but the map itself is empty.
I have to restart the app several times to get it running properly again, ie the map to show the roads and other information again.
When this happens, everything works fine, but when I close the app again (after the trip), the crash message shows up again.
Rather frustrating! -
We are still working on this too
Rest assured that your reports are taken seriously!
