Transfer of route

Can you help with this problem when shaping route it it had the yellow flags is this different to blue droplets. Planning route on Here map would be say 195miles when transferred to Zumo XT it would be 210miles. This has never happened in the past. What should I download on 1.0,1.1 or 1.2. It was throwing me off route

@Tam-0 Hi Tam
Make sure that you put in a shapingpoint every 4 or 5 km. Add enough viapoints to de route (for stops, refuel, coffee, views etc) then whem you're done export it using the Drive app to your XT file format 1.2. In that way you'll receive the route with the viapoint (green flags in your XT) and the route. No shapingspoint BUT the track is also put in your route. Thatway ensuring that the route goes exactly as planned..
Have fun -
@Tam-0 this may help explain 1.1 v 1.2
https://info.myrouteapp.com/blog-routes-loading-garmin-zumo-xt/& the Zumo XT is very very very well known for recalculating the route such that it can be completley different when it is transfered, it seems you have been lucky (or just not noticed)
as @Marinus-van-Deudekom the only way to try & stop the XT giving a different route is to add a lot of points ( Shaping or Via) to "constrain" the route so the XT has very little choice but to follow the path you choose -
@Marinus-van-Deudekom thanks marinas so just make sure there is plenty of the blue droplets. For some reason this time it came up with orange flags. I appreciate your help. Tam

@Brian-McG Cheers Brian when I done around NC500 and other roads up north of Scotland there wasn’t much option to change the route. But down in Yorkshire at the weekend lots of numerous road options, possibly why it was changing route. I will make sure there is plenty blue droplets on my route and also don’t understand why all my points came as orange flags. I will also use 1.2 instead of 1.0. Thanks for your help mate

@Tam-0 Hi Tam. The Orange flags are the viapoints in your route

@Marinus-van-Deudekom Cheers mate I will just make sure there is plenty of points on my route it seemed simple. You would think it would just follow your points but suppose nothing is foolproof. But I am going to use 1.2 from now on
