Interactive map while driving
-
Good morning,
I have a question about a feature that I particularly like and that I can't get to work with MRA next.
Let me explain, When I drive on a road without having made a route without waypoint, I like to have the interactive map and see my position during the trip.
I find it useful to see in advance the shape of the road that we are going to take. Maybe it is already possible to do this but I don't know how? -
@Calibos Well, it may not be exactly what you wanted, but if you simply open the mobile app, you will see the map with your current position on it. This tracks your location, but I'm not sure if the map moves along with you. You might give that a try.
Also I don't know for sure whether the screen tilt, after you've manually tilted the view, will be maintained.
-
@StefanHummelink you are correct! Tapping the icon bottom right once more enables the immersive navigation view with automatic zooming & tilt.
-
@Calibos “free driving” with the navigation module is not yet possible

@Corjan-Meijerink
Ok, thank you for your answer. It is free driving mode that I was looking for. Could be a feature for later. -
@Calibos definitely is! It’s already on my list. We’ll see how much we get done these last weeks and that will determine if stuff like this gets implemented before the release
-
Maybe I am lost in translation and misunderstand the question, but I used this function yesterday.
Free driving and view of the street.
Or just make a track recording and see what is ahead.
-
@Jörgen This map is not the same as the one the navigation uses and miss traffic info, speed cameras,....
-
@Calibos said in Interactive map while driving:
to see in advance the shape of the road
Yes you´r right, but helps to see the road in advance, what Calibos asked for.
-
@Jörgen Yes, I understand that. I think he just meant free riding, using exactly the same map you navigate with. Anyway, your solution is a good (temporary) alternative :-). With a Gold subscription you can even choose from different maps.

@Bart-DM
Indeed this is what I meant and in addition I wanted to use this function without being connected to any network. By browsing freely with the map downloaded on the SD card
