Route-Tracks can be started at any point on the Route-Track
-
When I am out solo on the bike I tend to use Route-Tracks for their beautiful simplicity.
I never use voice prompts or pre-plan stops.
I just plot a Route-Track taking in as many Country Lanes as I can string together for the length of the Route.
I stop only to take in the Scenery, Food/Drink/Petrol or just to stretch my ageing legs.
Out of shear curiosity I was wondering if Route-Tracks had to be started at the Blue Flag only.
It turns out that you can start a Route-Track at any point on the Route-Track, not just at the Blue Flag.
Lots of scope there for populating an area with half a dozen overlapping Route-Tracks and jumping between them as you wish. -
@Steve-Lynch that’s indeed correct! You are always rerouted to the nearest point on the track heading towards the destination
Do take care for recalculations when you are are at the start of a roundtrip (so also near the end) - a recalculation then might result in the app sending you straight to the finish.
Possibilities are endless!

For that very reason I wouldn’t use Roundtrips in this case.
