    • RE: Avoiding unsuitable biking roads

Hi, Nick & Steve, Thanks for you comments which I fully respect. I was not for one moment suggesting that MRA should deny you the roads I want to avoid. I guess it down to the style of bike you ride, some are more suited than others, if I had just spent 30k on a brand new Goldwing DCT, I most definitely would not relish chancing it. Although I live in North Essex I often spend time in Kingsbridge Devon with friends, so I am very familiar with the roads in both Devon and Cornwall, I know many A & B roads can be quite narrow, but they are not a problem for me and I enjoy them, it's real cart tracks that I dislike and want to avoid. But I will double check all my next routes and use Google Street View to look at any suspicious looking one's. All the best Peter.

    • RE: Speed Camera Alerts on Navigation

Hi Nick, I use a Samsung S10, ( I just thought I did a software update whilst in Dorset I wonder if this was the cure ?) Over the months I toggled the alerts off and back on again, all to no avail. I bet it was the Samsung updates that made in fail and now corrected the problem.
      Hallelujah ! !

    • Speed Camera Alerts on Navigation

Hi, For Months Now speed camera alerts did not happen on my Navigation App. I have been to Dorset for the past 5 days, I live in Essex. On My Journey down NO ALERTS, On The way back ALERTS worked as before, ( It did make me jump when the first one went off). I have made no alteration to settings, and the speed camera warnings have been toggled on all the time. So has something been done at MyRoute-app or what ?
I would be interested to Know. Peter.

    • Changing Route Half Way

I have two routes saved to the same destination. They both follow the same path half way, then they split one route is shorter, but I wanted to go the long way round. Having realised that I had initially chosen the shorter route by mistake, I stopped and loaded the longer route, As I expected it wanted to send me to waypoint one (starting point). But I thought that once I hit the next waypoint (11) it would then know to skip all previous waypoints, but no it continued to route me back to the start, I passed waypoints 12-16 by then it was telling me I had over 3hrs to my destination instead of the 15mins I new it was, I then stopped and manually skipped all the previous waypoint just leaving the final waypoint 17 (destination) and then it worked. Any ideas why auto skipping failed on this occasion. Regards Peter.

    • Avoiding unsuitable biking roads

In the UK we classify road A B C or unclassified ( assume similar for most other countries). I would like an option to choose which class of road to avoid and which to prefer. Often I am sent down single track lanes, with a build up of grit and debris forced in to the middle of the road by cars and also these lanes often have many blind bends. These roads are no fun to ride, and potentially dangerous, either by skidding or colliding with a speeding car coming from the opposite direction. The problem is very prevalent if windiness is chosen using the Tom Tom map. Regards Peter.
