New awards for people who help in the Self Support section
-
Hello community!
Today I'd like to introduce two new awards to the Forum, awards that should actually have been here since the start. The Support Pins will be awarded to members who actively contribute to the self service section, selflessly seeking to help members of the community encountering problems or important questions. The Support Pin also has a "Heroic" version which will be awarded to those who over time become the true heroes of the support section.

The first Support Pin will be awarded to @Nicholas-Carthew for his efforts to not only help people with their questions, but do so in many languages. Thank you Nick!

Where will these pins show? I cant't see it in the forum, neither in Nick's profile.
Nice suggestion! -

Hi Con, I agree with you that the visibility right now isn't optimal. We're still looking for ways to make achievements more visible in the future and keep expanding on such social features as well. Right now you can see the achievements as follows:
On the forum:
- On mobile devices as shown in Nick's screencap
- On Web devices in the top menu
On MyRoute-app there's also achievements, which are designed and formatted in the same style. For that feature just go to Achievements on the Profile:
As you might notice, right now the achievements of the forum aren't showing under the achievements of the route-editor/tracker/navigator. In the future, as part of Web 2.0., we want to make this cross compatible.

Okay, I'd seen that. Just figured there would be some icon visible in the forums also or personals profiles also. It has yet to come
It is a good idea to able to see some merits on the person replying to questions (if there are any
).

@Con-Hennekens Yeah I agree, it would be great. For immediate purposes there's the "Community Leader" type who'll get a nice badge in their name (like I have administrator). You can also join groups here on the forum and configure those in your profile (for example to show whether you're a motorcyclist, motorist, hiker or runner)
