      Hi Folks

I hope this is the right forum.

I'm planning an 8 week roundtrip from Dublin to the northern tip of Norway late summer/early autumn this year.

I'll be travelling, slowly, in a 1989 VW T3/Type25 Campervan. From Copenhagen onwards, I aim to travel about 200-300km max per day for 5 days a week and rest for the other 2 days. That should be about 1,500km a week.

I aiming to get from Dublin to Oslo and back again in a week, travelling faster, approx 4-500km a day than I would while in Norway. I know there are some lovely places to see during this leg of my trip but my desire is to see the fjords of Norway. I will return to Denmark and Sweden on a later trip.

So, this should allow me to spend 6 weeks or 6,000-9,000km, give or take, in Norway.

I have checked out the library but completely confused by all the choice. Therefore, I would love recommendations or suggestions for a roundtrip around Norway to take in as much as possible of this beautiful country, especially the fjords.

      Thanks, folks

As long as you stay away from the E6 highway, all roads are actually beautiful in Norway.
If you come to the Arctic Circle area, you should not hesitate to drive through Swedish Lapland.
The Atlantic Road is of course one of Norway's best known routes. You automatically come to that, of course. Furthermore, it is not difficult to find the most beautiful places, but you should not forget the Lofoten(click)!
I have a folder in my personal library with Scenic Roads(click)

(unfortunately forgot where I got the file from and who I should actually thank for it)

@brian-ó-húrdail If you're just looking to get to and from Norway as quickly as possible, you may want to consider the new cruise ferry service that has started sailing three times a week between the north of the Netherlands (Eemshaven, north of Groningen) and Kristiansand in the south of Norway (and vice-versa obviously), operated by Holland Norway Lines. Sailing time is about 18 hours, most of that at night (it departs at 15:00 and arrives at 9:00 the next day).
