Keeping the fixed source separately from an editable Moto copy worked well, and exporting the source retained all its track coordinates exactly. That is useful when checking a route before making changes.

I noticed a different result when adding a description to the read-only Routetrack:

I opened Information, changed the name and entered a description.

After leaving the description field and reloading, the new name was retained, but the description was blank.

I tried again using “Open in a larger window”, entered the description and selected “Done”. The text appeared in Information, but was blank again after reloading.

The Routetrack header showed “Convert to route”; I could not see a route-level Save button. For comparison, the description on a separate editable Moto route survived an explicit Save and reload.

Is there another save step for a Routetrack description, or should the text be retained after leaving the field or selecting “Done”? Keeping source and checking notes alongside an imported track would be particularly useful for RouteXpert work.

I have retained the disposable example and interface records if helpful.
