I have tried many times, including rebuilding my computer to get the export function to work. No matter what route or format I use I get the same error message "Device Not Found". Even though windows explorer and Basecamp can see it. It is a Garmin XT that I am trying to get to work.

I have used the exporter, directly transferring files to the Garmin>GPX folder on the sd card in the device and via Drive (my preferred method). All work fine. I use GPX 1.1 for various reasons.

Do you use the 1.2 gpx format file for export?

Better is to download the route as a gpx file directly to your computer and then copy/paste is via windows explorer.
